- Delta Airline – LAX Terminal 3
Challenge
- LAX continues to go through a major renovation of their terminals. Delta Airlines was moved to Terminals 2 and 3. They needed a way to cover and protect the long cargo conveyor in between the aircraft and the terminal. The sensitive space was very tight so the structure needed to be narrow and tall and hold up to the stringent building codes.
Solution
- 12’ 4″ wide by 200’ long and 14′ 7″ tall Sprung Structure
Results
- Sprung provided a fast solution for the unique requirements of the project, including precise physical dimensions and meeting a 130 mph wind speed rating. Sprung was also able to work within specific time requirements needed to complete this project on an active airfield. Delta’s 200 foot conveyor system is now protected from the elements year round.
