  • In 2017, the Charles M. Schultz airport acquired 6 new flights and needed additional gate passenger facilities.

Solution

  • Sprung Structure was called upon to erect a 70′ wide by 60′ long structure. The facility was erected within a few short weeks and provides a bright, spacious, clearspan passenger holding room.

Results

  • Gate 2 opened just in time to greet passengers on the first United Airlines flight June 8, 2017. A fully insulated Sprung Structure passenger holding room (Gate 2) is ready to accompany the first 3 new flights flying out of the Charles M. Schultz Sonoma Airport.

Located in the heart of Northern California’s world renowned Wine Country, STS is the only airport that offers scheduled air service into the North Bay region. Daily nonstop flights include: Alaska Airlines to Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, Portland, and Seattle; American Airlines to Phoenix Sky Harbor; and United Airlines to San Francisco. Twice a week nonstop flights include: Allegiant Air to Las Vegas; and Sun Country Airlines™ to Minneapolis (starting August 2017). All Airlines offer a wide-range of connecting flights to destinations in the continental U.S., Mexico, and beyond.
